19 December 2011 - Letter of thanks from Alder HeyAs you may know, we frequently work with Alder Hey Children's Hospital, providing face and nail painting at various events throughout the year. Last week we received a lovely letter of thanks from Julie from Alder Hey;
"Our thanks also to the girls from the Woodlands, who once again did a great job with face paints/nails, one of the mums who had a child with complex needs was thrilled that her little girl had her face painted & nails done & brought her over to show her off to myself & the staff.
I can't tell you how much we appreciate everything you all do for the special events & all year too. We really do value the partnership we have!"

16 October 2011 - Alder Hey Cardiac DayIn conjunction with the work we've been doing with Alder Hey recently, two of our team attended the Family Fun Day in support of the cardiac service. Megan and Gill treated families to some pampering with hand massages and manicures, as well as face painting, which went down really well with the youngsters! 16 September 2011 - Wow! 2nd placeAs you know we were shortlisted for the Liverpool PCT Quality awards, under the category patient choice. We came 2nd! We are all so happy and we are going to really work at how we can make an even bigger difference to the lives of the children and parents at Alder Hey.
We attend Alder Hey once a month and provide treatments to children and parents/siblings. We work together in partnership with Everton in the Community and Alder Hey to do this.
We are all delighted that the work all 3 partners do was valued and shortlisted for this award.
31 July 2011 - ALDER HEYCardiac Fun Day was amazing! Together with Everton in the Community, we celebrated all the excellent work done by the Cardiac Centre. Children had their faces painted and nails glittered! We managed to provide over 50 children with the Woodlands touch. Lots of smiling faces.
29 July 2011 - PRICE INCREASEPlease note, it is with regret that we have to increase our prices. We have tried not to increase prices due to the VAT increase but we have reached a point now where we must increase them.
50pence increase on treatments under 20.00 and £1.00 increase on treatments £20 and over.
31 January 2011 - Alder Hey Childrens TreatWoodlands girls had a wonderful time at their 'Beauty in the Community' Launch Day at Alder Hey.
Woodlands feel so happy to be helping the children and parents/careres take some time-out from the anxiety and stress they are going through.
We will keep you all updated with how our visits are going.
The children are getting a little 'sparkle' with face-paints and nail varnish whilst the parents/carers are taken to a quiet room with music and candles for some massage relaxation.
